The status of pending permits can be seen immediately, with all the powerful reporting tools available. And it can be accessed, password protected, by any authorized official, via the internet. So an inspector could view all pending permits, look at her/his inspectors schedules, schedule an inspection from anywhere, and see how this entire process is managed and tracked by Full Circle Technologies’ permitting and licensing solution.

The permit/license process is also tied to your town’s existing fee schedule, so it can instantly work out the exact amount of the fee payable. This can be updated easily by modifying the fee schedule as and when it changes.

And all the back-up documents are attached to each permit for easy reference in an electronic file. Further, each permit is tied back to its parcel, which is connected to the assessor’s database! so all the wealth of assessor’s data is available and viewable instantly. Other database, such as a code enforcement violation outstanding database, can be easily attached, since the permitting and licensing solution can link to any standard database, including, incidentally even EXCEL spreadsheets. And the application process can easily be set up to first query the assessor’s database/other databases to see whether there are any outstanding violations on that specific property/attached to that property owner.

And all of this is viewable on your town maps. Click on all outstanding building permits, and all parcels with pending building permits get highlighted. Click on all pending permits, and all pending permits which are pending come into view on the town map. And you can easily set up new searches with a point and click: e.g. "Show all permits(e.g. building, electrical, plumbing, zoning board exception) between July 1,2007-Dec 31st 2009 that involve 2 bedroom houses with an assessed value greater than $150K" and those parcels will instantly get highlighted. Parcels can then be classed and analyzed further.
