Full Circle Technologies, located in Boston, Massachusetts, visited North Hampton School to unveil their preliminary lighthouse website, which uses their interactive computer software product, VectorEyes. The lighthouse was fallling, and they needed to draw attention to the problem, generate some citizen interest, and raise some money to help save it.

VectorEyes puts CAD and GIS files on the internet, without the need for any other special software. This product will aid in the reconstruction of the White Island Lighthouse and surrounding facilities. Click on http://gis.virtualtownhall.net/lighthouse/ to visit the site. Click on the "i" icon, then click on the red dots and arrows to view pictures of the different parts of the drawings. Click on the different plans to see how easy and fast it is to zoom in for greater detail, or pan to a different part of the drawing.

The Lighthouse mapping site is hosted on the Virtual Town Hall servers in Portland, Maine. Virtual Town Hall has partnered with Full Circle Technologies to provide municipal governments with a simple, affordable, browser-based hosted application service that will allow residents, developers and town staff alike to view their town maps, that have been digitized using the ESRI ArcView mapping tools.

Through the use of VectorEyes, the architects and engineers involved in the restoration project are able to view and work with complex blueprints over the internet. The site currently shows views of the lighthouse, where the user can zoom in and out, click on different points on the lighthouse and see pictures of those areas. State engineers and architects are thrilled to have access to this technology.
